The last target of Abdurrahman Şimşek, a Turkish intelligence employee working at Sabah which targets many journalists in exile abroad, was Ekrem Dumanlı, the Editor-in-Chief of the old shut-down Zaman Newspaper. After Sabah targeted, Ekrem Dumanlı, who spoke on Tr724’s Youtube channel in the ‘Way Out’ program presented by journalist Metin Yıkar, noted that the allegations are completely false.
”IF YOU BRING A BAG OF MONEY, HOW WILL YOU GET IT INTO THE SYSTEM IN THE USA?”
Reacting to Sabah, who made the publishing his address seem like a great journalistic achievement, Dumanlı said that his address could be easily found on Google, that his place of residence was not a villa, but an ordinary house.
Dumanlı, who explained that he makes his living selling books in America, stated that the allegations that he came to the United States by smuggling a large amount of money from Turkey last year in the news that he was targeted were completely fake. Dumanlı said: “Are you such an idiot? How will you bring money to America in a bag, in a suitcase? If you bring money, how will you get it into the system. It used to be 10 thousand dollars, then 5 thousand eventually came down to 3 thousand dollars, if you make a cash purchase of 3 thousand dollars from one place to another, that is, if you buy or sell something other than a credit card or bank account, the system automatically follows you. How will you bring it when you enter the United States?’
”IF THESE NUTS HADN’T CANCELED MY PASSPORT, I WOULD HAVE RETURNED TO EUROPE”
Dumanlı, who said that they came to the United States to travel with their family, actually took a 4-year residence permit from a country in Europe, said, ‘Unexpectedly, the coup happened. We even had a return ticket. Then journalist friends said, ‘Don’t come here, it’s very complicated,’ and we postponed our ticket for a few days. And then they canceled our passports. If these nuts had not canceled our passports, I would have returned to Europe again. I don’t understand what kind of conspiracy theory this is.” said he.
”THESE ARE POOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE BECOME TOYS OF INTELLIGENCE, NOT JOURNALISTS”
Dumanlı addresses Sabah newspaper and Abdurrahman Şimşek, who made the false news, continued his speech as follows:
‘And you’re a journalist, aren’t you? You came to my door, you can ask me about these allegations. If you have the heart, ask me. Isn’t that what you call a journalist? Hand me the microphone, ask me if I live in the villa, how did you do the miracle of passing through Evros River with a truck.. Ask me if I have brought money. Ask Ali Halis as well. These are not journalists, not even people. These are poor people who have become the toys of intelligence. They’ve done it to other journalist friends before, so now it’s my turn. I don’t know who’s next tomorrow either. I’m going to file a complaint about these, we must write it down. Because they have dirty hands, there are Turkish and non-Turkish elements with whom they are connected, including ISIS. There are elements of Turkish citizens and non-citizens. They’re trying to scare people with these, and they might try to more. I will make my legally required applications.
”IF YOU WERE GOING TO BARK YOURSELF, WHY DO YOU FEED SO MANY DOGS?”
They do it on purpose, they show targets first. I asked Serhat Albayrak “If you were going to bark yourself, why did you feed all the dogs?” I also asked Berat Albayrak who was holding his leash.
“SERHAT ALBAYRAK AND BERAT ALBAYRAK WILL ALSO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR HOLDING THEIR LEASHES”
But they will be held accountable, Serhat Albayrak, who sent these mutts to the right and left, will be held accountable. Berat Albayrak will be held accountable. And the one who holds their leash will be held to account. If not today, tomorrow he will be held accountable both in history and in the face of the law.’’
